BMJ to use River Valley’s ReView for their new Open Science journal

BMJ, a leading medical knowledge provider, has adopted ReView, River Valley’s submission and peer review system, for BMJ Open Science (http://openscience.bmj.com) The new journal applies open science principles to preclinical research, and incorporates several innovative features in peer review.

Transparency and reproducibility are at the heart of BMJ Open Science. Not only are reviews published alongside accepted manuscripts, but even the discussions between reviewers are open to the public! De Gruyter streamlines author proofing by using River Valley’s ProofCheck system

After evaluating several competing products in 2016, De Gruyter, one of the world’s leading journal publishers, has chosen River Valley’s online proofing platform, ProofCheck.

Like many other publishers, De Gruyter had been sending authors their proofs in PDF format for annotation.  Authors’ corrections would then be implemented to produce the final publication. IET opts for River Valley’s ReView platform for member management

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world’s largest engineering institutions, is launching a new system for managing professional registration applications, such as Chartered Engineer and Incorporated Engineer. The IET grants these registrations on behalf of the Engineering Council UK, after a detailed assessment process of each applicant. With over 167,000 members, the process is heavy on administration.
