Edinburgh University Press has become the latest prestigious publisher to sign up to ReView, River Valley’s submission and peer review system, in a bid to reduce admin and turnaround times on their journals.

After evaluating several competing products in 2016, De Gruyter, one of the world’s leading journal publishers, has chosen River Valley’s online proofing platform, ProofCheck.
Like many other publishers, De Gruyter had been sending authors their proofs in PDF format for annotation. Authors’ corrections would then be implemented to produce the final publication. The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world’s largest engineering institutions, is launching a new system for managing professional registration applications, such as Chartered Engineer and Incorporated Engineer. The IET grants these registrations on behalf of the Engineering Council UK, after a detailed assessment process of each applicant. With over 167,000 members, the process is heavy on administration.
